Blueberries, from the fields of PEI, are blended with fermented honey and water then cold aged to become unique melomel style mead. Blending the most “Canadian” of berries with the oldest style of beverage alcohol results in a drink that is surprising in its refreshing dryness. Blueberry mead is enjoyed over ice or well chilled.

"I hate to make this review while being so inexperienced with mead. Im glad to have waited well into my beer tastings before starting to review. My knowledge, appreciation and tastes changed (and still are changing) the more I understood and sampled different styles of beer from different parts of the world. Our selection of mead in this province is limited to these Trafalgar thus I have no real basis for comparison, nor much experience to fall back on, but that being said...
While I find a particular dislike for most Trafalgar products on the basis of them containing a very artificial (seemingly lab created) flavour, this one fell short because had no real present flavour. Very interesting looking and nice smelling, but not much taste. That said it had a good mouthfeel and the honey was well blended, but simply not pronouced enough is my complaint. -

Pours a darker-then-medium red with a big fizzy head that reminds me off a soft drink, but stays a few seconds more. Lots of particules floating around. Fruity nose mixed with lots of alcohol. Thin mouthfeel and not much taste. Alcohol going to the head, that's about it. Mild fruity berry aftertaste. Still waiting to find a good Trafalgar product. Average for now.
