This malty amber lager features just the right amount of German beechwood-smoked malt. Delicately smokey, toasty, and rich with a clean, elegant finish, it is the perfect accompaniment to barbecue and grilled foods!

Pint can pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a lasting light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of molasses and cola and then some sweet malts and a modest level of rauchy smokiness and hazelnut. It could use a stronger rauch presence. The taste delivers sweet malts laced with a touch of molasses and then heading into a mild degree of smoke. Toward the finish a ashy to burnt maltiness bubbles to the surface. This note is separate from the smokiness. This is pretty nice albeit it comes up a bit short on smokiness.
