This is our attempt of substituting the morning mochaccino coffee with a beer. You get the nicely roasted chocolate malts, some creamy lactose for the milk and a shot of nutty espresso coffee in your mug. And then some alcohol, it seemed just as obvious as vodka in a white russian. We do not recommend opting for this beer instead of coffee (all the time...) – Original “The Monday Morning Mochaccino Messiah” Ingredients: Water, Malted barley, flaked oats, lactose, Hops (Simcoe, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Centennial), coffee and Yeast.

August 2012: Shared bottle at local tasting. ABV is 7%. Dark brown colour, moderate beige head. Sorish and sharp aroma of lightly roasted coffee beans, some dusty, earthy and ashy notes. Very dry and ashy flavour first, not very good coffee, a little sweetness in the finish. Not my cup of tea / coffee / beer.

Doesn't have the depth or body to hang with the big boys, but is nice for what it is - a breakfast brown ale full of coffee and a surprising amount of hop flavor. Moderately bitter, both from the coffee and hops. Decent malt backbone, but that's an afterthought. Pretty nice, but too expensive for return trips for a "pretty nice" brew.
