First Frontier Udgangspunktet for First Frontier er at skabe en IPA ”the American way”, uden en kvalm sød maltprofil, der fjerner fokus fra det IPA egentlig handler om, nemlig potent og aromatisk humle. The starting point for First Frontier is to create an IPA "the american way", without a sickly sweet malt profile that removes the focus from the IPA is really about, namely potent and aromatic hops. Resultatet er en dejlig tør, frisk og bitter IPA, der er hårdt tørhumlet med de tre amerikanske humlesorter Warrior, Simcoe og Centennial, som giver noter af citrus, fersken og grapefrugt. The result is a wonderfully dry, crisp and bitter IPA, which is hard tørhumlet with the three American hop varieties Warrior, Simcoe, and Centennial, which gives hints of citrus, peach and grapefruit. Tilføjet er en smule karamel malt, der blot er tilstede for at tøjle og afbalancere alkoholen, der befinder sig på 7,1%. Added is a bit caramel malt, which is just there to harness and balance the alcohol that is at 7.1%. ”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other” "We all got pieces of crazy in us, somebody bigger pieces enn andre" Ingredienser: Vand, Malt, Havre, Humle (Warrior, Simcoe, Centennial), gær. Ingredients: Water, Malt, Oats, Hops (Warrior, Simcoe, Centennial), yeast. Alc./Vol. Alc. / Vol. 7,1%. 7.1%. Comes out of the bottle a slightly hazy dark amber with a fairly thick golden-buff head. Strong, hoppy aroma has firm yeasty and sour fruity notes, the latter mainly apple with some orange. Flavor is quite hoppy and bitter, and has notes of citrus, yeast and fresh-cut wood. This is a rough and rugged IPA! Lively texture has good body and lots of fizz. Can you handle this one?

At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Hazy deep golden colour. Strong and pleasant aroma of American hops (Warrior, Simcoe and Centennial), fruity and piney notes. The flavour is also dominated by said fruity hops, but is not too extreme. Noticeable malts with a little caramel balance the flavour nicely. Very good!

Pours out in a hazy amber colour with a rich sticky snow-white head. Rich hoppy aroma of resin, red grapefruit, melon, lime and ink. Medium-bodied with bitter notes of grass, grapefruit lemon-zest and flowers with sweetish notes of melon and mild caramel. Long really bitter finish of grass and grapefruit.

I had this beer at Mikkeller bar on 09 January 2011. This beer was FANTASTIC. The beer is mellow and packed with flavor. I tried this beer at the urging of the creator, Tore. He was my first Danish contact once arriving in Denmark and he made me feel at home in his bar. He wanted me to enjoy Mikkeller Bar and when he found that IPAs are my thing, he asked if I would try his beer - it was an honor. This beer was amazing. It tasted of freshly cut grapefruit but was creamy and unharsh. I thank him for the chance to try this great beer. I will continue to support his local offerings and am excited for when these beers reach the U.S. - it should be soon. To my fellow BPs, please pick it up when it arrives. You are not only supporting a great man but trying a phenomenal beer.
