This beer had a semi-clear bright orangish/peach color. A medium white head that was none too large. Had average retention and even better lacing. Several small bubbles rising from the bottom. The head was comprised of very small bubbles. The head settled to an inconsistent patchy film. The aroma was tangerine, grapefruit and peach notes. Very well balanced. Strong hop presence. Smells fresh, resinous and correct. Perfumy. A minor miniscule alcohol tone. Smells sweet. Pronounced hop bitterness in the taste with the tangerine and grapefruit. Sweet. A conspicuous alcohol warmth that was very welcoming and satisfactory. A bit of a bready malt in the taste as it warmed. Fresh. Very well balanced. Clean tasting. Only a touch of caramel. Medium mouthfeel. Sticky, smooth and crisp. Tons left on the palate. Very, very dry. Medium carbonation. Smooth alcohol warmth. A great brew. Super easy to drink. Could be drunk year round. Thoroughly enjoyable. Definitely one I will pick up again. Could make a night of this with ease. Almost quaffable.

Pours orange-amber with a fair parchment head. Aroma delivers rich resiny hops, citrus and tropical tones, crisp malt. Flavor yields piney hops, zesty citeus and tropical fruit, tangy malt. Texture provides fair body and lively fizz. Dread naught - enjoy!

Bit opaque copper, of-white lasting, lacing foam head. Nice hoppy aroma, some floral notes. Great bitter taste, grass and leather tones, quite good. (Munster 201510)

Very respectable.... just not quite as pronounced in aroma and flavor as I was expecting. Pours orange-ish with a moderate fluffy white head and a nice aroma of citrus and pine - translates to flavors. Very grapefriutty. Decent malt back. Overall very nice.

Pours a caramel colored amber with a sub one finger head that goes away fairly fast. Excellent carbonation. Aroma is heavy on the tropical fruits and lighter on the hops, very pleasant and not in anyway over bearing. Taste is dry and bitter with hints of fruits, pine, and hops. Finishes off sticky and dry. Well done but I have had better for cheaper.

Birthday present from my wife picked up in madison and unfortunately I forgot about it on my birthday because it was behind the milk. (out of sight, out of mind). Perfect double ipa with layers of flavor. Definitely has the three Cs of hops, floral, creamy, good head, the hops coat your tongue and dry it out with flavor. Hard liquor backflavor. This is one of the few beers that has a great backmouth scent and I just like inhale with my mouth over the glass. do this, put a few drops on your tongue and you get the peach and mango. The bottle may be big, but for me its not big enough.

Ok, this beer is good - very good. But it does not, in my opinion, meet the amazing reputation that it has. I am glad that I got to try it but it is not in the same league as Pliny the Younger, Pliny the Elder, Hopslam, or Blind Pig. Either way, it was good, but just that. Good to very good. (I think Two Hearted is better too).

I absolutely love Bells' Hopslam; but 3 Floyds has me thinking that Dreadnaught might be able to go neck and neck with Hopslam. A fantastic double IPA! that goes directly into my Top 5. Hazy gold pour with white head and decent lacing. Smell is citrusy and tropical. Taste is unbelievably wonderful with a nice balance of hops and malts. THREE FLOYDS PLEASE COME TO IOWA!!!!

It's good to know a fellow beer lover who happened to score a VIP wrist band for Dark Lord Day. Why?....because it allowed us to crush anything on tap for free all day. After having my fill of this danky sticky icky masterpiece I was able to reflect on how wonderful Dreadnaught on tap truly is. Smells like fresh hop cones and has a very strong ganja flavor. Fairly heavy on the malts which was nice. Reputation easily backed up.

Cloudy orange color with a thick white head. Smell is very piney with hints of citrus, the flavor pretty much matches the scent. Very dry and crisp finish. Very nice IPA.
