Clean bitterness backed up by a hearty floral hop bouquet. A tinge of gritty sugar is evident, odd at first then kind of nice. Light copper body, foamy white head and heavy lacing. Medium maltiness and big hoppiness right in line for a IIPA.

Another Hootenanny beer, from the PfoxyJohn. Orange copper pour, tight head, good lacing. Nice grapefruit and citrus nose, big on the hops aroma, then slightly sweet. Big citrus and grapefruit and apricot flavor, nicely bitter and offset by a velvet light sweetness. Big nice beer. Huge thanks to John for this bomb.

Got this in a trade with wnoble 22 oz bottle into a snifter. Poured a lemony, hazy gold with a large head which settled into a coating. Lacing was a thin map but prevailed throughout. Nose revealed citrus, pine and some floral notes but also sweetness was there - sugar and caramel. Taste was wonderfully unique. Like any DIPA there were hop notes of citrus and pine but it played with sweetness, likely a product of the lactose. There were evidence of malts as well - caramel, roasted flavors and some melon-like flavors. The finish was an awesome interplay between bitter and sweet, hops and lactose. Mouthfeel was very creamy and incredibly smooth. This was a fascinating brew! I am sorry this is so hard to come by because this was an excellent and unique offering. If you can, try it for sure!

A gift from my boss, how cool is that? Pours a semi hazey orange colour with a big fluffhead. Super citrus, honey and floral notes on the nose. Taste is pleasent, chewy and full with a smooth piney finish. Well balanced in every way. Sweet with just the right amount of bitterness to keep it steady.

Tasted on tap at the Pizza Port Strong Ale Festival 12/6/2008. This imperial IPA pours a medium orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral hops, fruit and sweet. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and a touch piney. A touch sweet with balances the hop bitterness. Nice carbonation. Nice orange flavors throughout. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
