Originally rated August 27, 2012. Pours an amber colour with an off-white head that stays a while and gives out a little lace. Perfumy nose with some caramel malts and light roasted one. Nice sweetness in the taste, but not overly, well-balanced with some fruity and caramel malts, very mild hops and hints of grain and vanilla. I really enjoyed this one a few months back (purchased in a 6-pack), but not sure about the one I am having tonight (from the discovery pack). Maybe it is what I ate, but I know I would get some more of this. A good vienna.

The beer pours a translucent orange-red with a generous light tan head that quickly dissipates into a ring. Plenty of effervescence. Aroma is slight roast, some caramel, some grass, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is tangy....not good. Notes or toasted caramel and grains, but with a tangy twist.

Poured with very minimal somewhat foamy head. Has a coppery appearance. Lots of carbonation. Aromas are not quite distinct to me, sort of a mild citrus aroma. Malty flavours, with hops coming through at the end. Tingly mouthfeel. Not bad, but probably won't try again.

Not overly familiar with this style therefore did not know what to expect. Very bready aroma, this beer is one of those that gets better as you go along, with each sample coming across better than the previous. Hoppier than I expected. Tasty and thirst quenching.

Fresh bottle from brewery: Decants as a clear deep amber with orange highlights. Creamy 3 finger cap that laces well. Well carbonated. Nose is rich in toasty-bready Vienna malts, little detectable sweetness, some earthy-woody noble hop tones ,nice fresh aroma and true to style. Medium bodied smooth mouth feel clean malty character. Taste profile is on style as well...bready-toasty wiith very light sweeness in front, hops sit back, mid palate the noble hops give off heir earthy woody bittering as the clean finish dries right out and provides a small hop bite in the end. A very good (true to style) rendition of the Vienna style, the first we have in the Ontario market at least. With a few minor tweeks this would be on par with Great Lakes Eliot Ness. Satisfying, quenching yet flavorful with a decent malt discernment and hop bite....this is a keeper. Hope it''s not just a one off.
