New Formula? I see differences in previous reviews from the product I've recently discovered. Third Shift Amber Lager is now a copper-colored brew with light beige foam. No appreciable aroma. I like American Style Lager, and I think this is a good one! Probably no match for Erlanger, Schlitz's now defunct flagship beer...but nice enough. I realized when I bought it that it was from Coors. Anyway it's more flavorful than the average macro and has a pleasantly subtle lingering bitterness. For $11.97 per twelve pack @ Walmart, I will probably buy this again from time to time.

This bottled beer forms a small smooth off-white head that mostly diminishes, golden transparent body, very little carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is grainy, metallic, corn and some malt. The flavor mimics the aroma along with a semi-dry finish. The mouth feel is light carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. This beer’s flavor is not that great tasting.

pours a clear amber. It arrived with no head, showed very little carbonation, and produced no lacing. Nondescript. The aroma is mildly malty. Minimal aroma. The taste not bad. Little bit of light caramel type sweetness and some decent bitterness on the back end. The mouthfeel is light bodied decent carbonation. ok beer for the masses.

Pours a piss yellow with a 4 finger head that takes its time. Fairly well carbonated. Aroma is what you would expect from a lager, malty and slightly sweet. Taste is slightly metallic, sickly sweet, and a tad malty. Aftertaste is kinda annoying. Bad beer.

Amber pour with a modest white head. The head faded quickly and left a minimal amount of lace on the glass. Fairly sweet taste to this beer but nothing outstanding. Average beer at best.

Aroma is crisp and malty, not much more. Pours a typical clear amber with a fluffy white head. Flavor is, well malty, a bit tinny (probably from the can), a hint of fruit, otherwise pretty much typical of a lager. Texture is about average - smooth, but average body, not much fizz. The megabreweries can send out all the pseudo-craft beer they like, but as the old song goes, ain't nothin' like the real thing.

I wouldn't call this amber as its appearance is pee yellow. I guess its as amber as a lager gets, though. It has a nice head and it smells like wet cardboard. Mouthfeel is surprisingly thick. The flavor is hard to describe. Wet hay with some black pepper? Finish is dry and peppery. I would call this coors light's big brother, but for $1 a beer, I'm hooked.

Served up on my 32 oz (100) World of Beer stein. AQ bright light amber colored beer with a large fluffy textured, white head. There's some hang time. Settles with a light film and well sized ringlet. The profile, lighter in the nose than in tasting is grassy, bready and nutty. Light, creaminess and effervescent. Not a bad craft beer stab from a macro-brewery.

I can't believe its coors! OMG they fooled me. That's it, no more mix and match. I looked all over that bottle to make sure this wasnt a bmc off brand and it must have fooled me. Still it was a better than average amber, with a good sweet malt. Tell you what, you know that guy who shows up to the homebrew club to get free beer, put a fake label on this and keep pouring this and save the real stuff for the non-moochers who really appreciate good beer.

Pawing through the singles collection at a convenience store on a whim, I noticed this beer wrapped in Ravenclaw colors. Price is lousy compared to craft singles elsewhere, but might as well review it. Nice copper color, tall dense head that dissolves slowly and leaves good lacing. Sweet and tangy aroma, a little white toast with lemon juice or green apple and a hint of cotton candy. Flavor is drier, almost smokey and metallic with a lingering bitter aftertaste that reminds me of pecan shell. I don't find this pleasant, even cold. Thin feel, good fine carbonation. Won't be getting this again. I'll be honest: I find this more disgusting than some beers I've given lower ratings.
