This beer is a brilliantly clear gold color and is topped by a frothy off white head. The aroma has a hoppy note of lemon to it and overall is spritzy and appealing with a light grassy note. The beer itself is dry with a spicy, herbal hop note and a finish that is nicely bitter. This is quite a bit more bitter than is typical, but reminds me of fresh Augustiner in Munich. This is not as herbal as the Kölsch. This is a really nice beer, very appropriate right now when it is so warm out.
