Bronze Medal Winner 2012 World Beer Cup Traditionally, Farmhouse Ales were brewed on farms in the French and Flemish regions of Belgium. These beers were born out of necessity as most water was not potable and the farmers needed a refreshing beverage to offer the hardworking farmhands. Our rendition was developed in the spirit of that tradition. The beer pours golden with a floral nose and a soft underlying hop bitterness with a crisp finish.

750 ml bottle. Pours hazy milky yellow with a huge creamy white head that retains well (it's actually growing), and leaves a bunch of lacing.

The aroma is earthy funky yeast with some sweet bready malt and a little fruit and spice.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with a little fruit and some funky yeast. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

    Overall, a decent saison.

Sampled from bottle. Pours yellow with a faint haze. Frothy head and great lace. Nice fruity esters and floral spicy hop aroma. Incredibly drinkable. Balanced with higher carbonation. Tamed spice and esters in flavor let the hops and grain share the stage. A must try.

Light golden pour with a slight orange hue, bubbly head, nice lacing. Zesty fruity aroma with nice sweet, very light funk and light spiced aroma. Refreshing flavor: zesty light fruitiness, hint of funk, some tart then sweet. Thank you Travis. Super easy to drink.

Floral and clean, somewhat hoppy, with a touch of dry funk in there too. Another well crafted, drinkable yet complex brew from the commons......................

Sampled on 10/11/2012 at GABF. This saison pours a light gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet and slightly spicy. A medium bodied sasion. The malts are fruity and sweet The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. Slightly spicy. Nice balance. Clean taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Another winner from The Commons. Pours an orangeish colour. Again big froth, lots of carbonation. Taste is grassy, refreshing herbal notes with big juicy hop flavors. Aroma is fresh, and somewhat yeasty.
