I now officially love The Brew Kettle. This is a beatiful beer with a rick cloudy ruby topped off with a thick, dense, off-white head. The aroma is strongly of caramel and bananas. The banana in the flavor is almost breath-taking, but the finish is a bit short. This could probably stand for a bit more clove from the yeast to balance out the esters, but still an excellent dunkelweizen. I don’t think I could tell it from a good German-brewed one on a blind taste test. The main drawback is that it lacks that creamy palate of the best hefeweizens and dunkelweizens.
