Pours a bright golden colour with a medium-sized, soapy white head that leaves some spotty lacing. The aroma is dominated by sweet grains and corn along with some mild floral and soapy hop aromas. The taste is rather sweet with a fairly strong earthy or mineral tone with toasted grains, bread and a mild apple juice note. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a decent carbonation level, it's a little sweet and syrupy on the tongue with a mild oiliness. The finish is dry and carries a nice, except for the bitter bite. The aftertaste has a slightly sweet tone and a lingering syrupy sensation.

Nice appearance, the head lasts forever and leaves a excellent lacing on the glass.Micro carbonation like a real ale. it is the light ale version of Guiness. Had this with my breakfeast at Mulligan's in Mississauga. Very good beer!(yes it is better than coffee)

Despite knowing the head is nitrogen activated, it is an impressive tight bubbled, creamy white rising above the beer. The body is a murky amber color. The head eventually settles into a grand lacing. The aroma is a murky malt. Not much else there. The body is medium to heavy and as advertised, creamy and smooth. The tasting is a bit bland malt. Nothing real exciting about this one.

I found nothing special about this brew. It was a bit stale in flavor and not as bitter as i was led to believe. I was glad to try this but overall felt that it didnt stand out from the rest of the other Pub style ales out there.

After settling, the apperance is clear amber with a foam head so thick that it reminds me of merangue. The aroma is of roasted grain and caramel. Bigred described the flavor well. It tastes like herbal tea of some sort. I would have expected more flavor from and ESB. Mouthfeel is too thick for the style as well. Finish is a little bitter.

This one opened with a big rush of air and bubbles. It poured very foamy with loads of tiny little bubbles that slowly formed a thick, white and creamy head. Very cool looking! The body was a nice golden honey color with good clarity after it settled down. The aroma is light. Carmel malts and peach. The favor is buttery smooth and malty sweet up front. This fades to an odd watery and metallic middle that finishes with some herbal tea like hops. The palate is velvety smooth and medium bodied. Overall this is a grate looking beer not much flavor. Tetley's is interesting however and I would like to try it on tap.

When I think Tetley's, I think tea. This beer is a clear reddish coloured beer with a thick frothy head (not consistent with the style). The aroma is nutty caramel malts, with a little hoppish hint. The flavour is primarily malt with a nice subtle hop finish.

3.8%ABV; September 2008 Can Date; Sampled May 2008
Pours into my 25cl tulip glass with a frothy, almost creamy consistency, light tan colored head that settles out to be about three-fingers in height. The beer is a brilliantly clear, red-hued copper color, that shows a rich copper hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells characteristic of a widget can (almost tinny in its light beeriness). Slight butterscotch, a hint of toffee and a dusty, almost stale malt note that is very faint as well.Very smooth tasting as the beer is practically dead of all carbonation. Definitely creamy in consistency and very light and quaffable, this beer just slides down my throat, almost without me noticing it at all. This finishes with a slightly metallic, light hop note. Faint sweet maltiness is noticeable after a couple sips at the fore of each sip; slight toffee, and a touch of caramel is what comes through the most. There is some soft, herbal hop notes to this brew as well.
At first this beer was really bland in both flavor and aroma, but the flavor picked up a bit after a short bit. This does seem to have a low level of diacetyl, but it is very mild and actually seems to add a bit of welcome complexity to the beer, even for me who is so sensitive to it. This is certainly not objectionable, though I am not sure I would ever consciously choose to drink another one of these.

Pours a amber color with a thick creamy long lasting head. Aroma has sweet caramel malts up front with a touch of grainy hops and bread. Nice Malty taste, some what sweet with bread. Creamy.
