This newbie is the brainchild of Terrapin’s own. Recently the brewery held an employee brew-off. Late night grilling (and drinking!) with friends inspired a slightly smoky offering brewed with chunks of fresh pineapple. The winning offering was born. This smoked pineapple helles lager will be pulling into the station in the near future. Congratulations to Julia Weckback, Andy Dupras, John Lane, Rainey Lynch, Lily Swindle, Mike Wallace, and Chris Wright for your winning brew.

Smoky, malty, peaty aroma has a hint of pineapple. Pours a bubbly and slightly hazy solar yellow with a thick eggshell head. Pineapple truly comes forth in the malty flavor that has an underpinning of smoky peat. Texture is creamy, smooth, fairly fizzy. OK and worthy of a fair shake - take this Express for a test ride.

A bright golden colored beer with a loose bubbled sudsy textured white head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. A thin ringlet is what's left behind. Light notes of smokiness and sweet pineapple in the nose. More smoky grassiness with that pineapple in the tasting. Light, effervescent. Easy to drink.
