Hopzilla Imperial IPA Oh no, they say he’s got to go. Go, Go Hopzilla! Terrapin newest member of the Monster Beer Tour is none other than the fearless “Hopzilla” Double IPA. This Hoptastic creature clocks in at 110 IBUs and has all the hop explosion of a B-rate monster movie. Made with 100% Maris Otter malt to back up the barrage of hop bitterness, flavor and aroma, this beast knows no boundaries. With all of this hoppy goodness packed into one beer, we wouldn’t have called it by any other name.

Orangey pour with a nice white head, tons of lacing. Big dank tropical nose and palate, mangoes and pineapple, heavy mouthfeel, dank and sticky in a good way, nice bitter - not jaw wrenching - just long and continuously tropical and dank. Hell yes this is a good beer that drinks way under it's 10.8% ABV. Seek it.

Firm bitter brew from Terrapin, nothing over the top for a IIPA.....yet a bit more assertive than the standard IPA. Juicy floral hops with a hint of pine. Caramel and dough malt influences. Great frothy pour, dark copper body....nice bitter bite.

Everything about this is solid. Main complaint I have is that the alcohol is not hidden that well, but at almost 11%, it's a hard thing to do in this style. Very hoppy and bitter. Citrusy with lots of grapefruit. Semi-cloudy, light to medium orange appearance. Hopzilla lives up to it's name!

Comes out of the tap a beautiful hazy golden amber with a fairly thick, fine-bubbled white head. Epic aroma is hoppy in the extreme - it is like smelling a freshly cut pine tree. Flavor is as hoppy as a bullfrog on angel dust, and has hints of grapefruit and orange. Double IPA, hell - this is more like a quadruple IPA! Edgy, ragged texture is quite fizzy and leaves a hoppy and citrus finish. If you like hoppy beers, this one is for you!
