Clear orange, small off-white lacing foam head. Strong hoppy aroma, some hay tones and bitter taste, again some grass tones. lasting aftertaste. Nice IPA. (Atlanta 201505)

Looks like bubbly apple juice. Nice thick head. Smells like hops and ball sweat. Taste is just plain weird. Fruit and mold. Finish is f'd up too. Water and rotting fruit. What is this? Turtle piss?

Teenage mutant ninja turtles on the bottle and a great name made me very excited to try this one. Sadly, the beer does not live up to the great marketing, and you don't get points for marketing in beer reviews. This is not much of an ipa at all, in my opinion.

In Key West, 3rd beer after 36 hours with no sleep. Nose if very mild, too mild! Soft grapefruit, some pepper, balanced but too faint a nose. Nice medium amber body with moderate head and minimum lace, gee looks a lot like an IPA! Mouth is a bit thin but carbonation is nice. This tastes very much like a slightly watered down Hop Stoopid, and if I had ordered a knock off Hop Stoopid kit and brewed this I would be fairly pleased. The IBU's are low in my humble opinion, just not the bitter kick I expect from the name but still a very tasty brew. At 7.2 the alcohol plays a big part in this flavor, its present in the taste and there is a lovely warming effect afterwards. Profile is grapefruit with minimal malt backbone and minimal complexity. Still the sum of its parts may be better than expected. This one will mess you up!

Golden color with white head. Aroma is pine, oranges, and lemons. Flavor is bitter with some pine, oranges, lemons, and a hint of caramel. Well balanced beer. Finish has some bitterness as well. Overall a good beer.

Bottled. Ambery golden colour with small off-white creamy head. Aroma is fruits, woos, nectar and quite floral hoppy along with some sweet malts. Flavour is fruity and floral with some sweet malty notes as well.

June 2010 - On tap at Half Moon. Pale orange color, frothy head and nice lacing. Faint herbal aroma with a similar flavor profile. Fairly heavy bitterness, herbal and pine like flavors dominating. Toasty malt flavors. Almost no sweetness. Not my favorite offering.

This beer was very good and gets straight 8's. The mouthfeel was oily and slick and the aroma was HUGE. The minute you crack the beer, you can smell the piney hops. The flavor closely tracked the aroma. I would buy this beer again in a second - big hops, low malt. A very good IPA.
