Terminal Gravity's "India Pale Ale" is pale copper in color but big in flavor with a heady hop character. It is a true beer drinkers beer and brings a smile to many a face. We use spring water and snow melt from high in the Eagle Cap Wilderness! This is the beer that was named Beer of the Year by the Oregonian. "Terminal Gravity India Pale Ale is one of the best beers in the state, and therefore the country. It is a rich copper in the glass with a lucious hops aroma betraying a vigorous hopping rate. Complex maltiness balances the hoppy bite, as do the peachy notes... imparted by the yeast." John Foyston, The Oregonian ABV 6.9% Starting Gravity 15.2 ºP Terminal Gravity 3.2 ºP

I'm gonna have to side with Travis on this one. Probably not the freshest of bottles, but since they didn't date it, they can take the blame. Kinda stale, overall boring ass ipa. More malt driven with lightly fruity and tropical hops, but substandard. Didn't even finish a 12. This was a shot in the dar, and it missed the mark.

I'm not sure what everyone else saw in this brew that I didn't but I found it slightly above par. Poured an orange colour with a fairly large head. Nose is wierd. Odd hop notes and grassiness. Taste is unbalanced, way more hoppiness than seems necessary.

Comes out of the tap a hazy, nearly opaque honey golden with a fairly thick pale golden tan head. Aroma is strong and hoppy with a fruity undertone that, interestingly, is more apple than citrus. Flavor is richly hoppy, only slightly bitter, and somewhat fruity and sweet but not too sweet. Texture is rather smooth and has a good fizz, leaving a tingly, hoppy and slightly fruity finish.

Pours a slightly hazy amber color with good head. Aroma is citrus, but also with some dark fruit that is nice. Medium-full body. Not easy going down, but still enjoyable. I drank the whole bottle before I knew it!

Brought back from Portland by a friend who was nice enough to share. Pours witha slightly cloudy, amber body topped by a thin to medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s bitter and hoppy with a grassy, peppery note. Medium bodied, dry and warming.

light bodied IPA, very smooth mouthfeel out the bottle. Even smoother and creamy on Nitro draught.... Mandarin orange fruity aroma, mellow notes, warm grass, herbal flowers, a subtle balanced flavor. Bright and sunny. -The Portland locals do recommend this beer ;)

Cloudy golden/orange/nutbrown mix with a creamy white mediumsized head. Aroma is strong flowery hops with hints of caramel. Flavour is flowery and fruity hops with some caramel mixed in. Finish and aftertaste is mainly flowery hops and some freshly cut grass. Pleasant one.

Sampled from bottle. Pours murky copper with a thin, white, scattered head. Aroma is bold with fresh grapefruit and some floral notes. Flavor is nicely bitter with heavy citrus, caramel candy and a piney hop finish. Full-bodied and wonderfully smooth. many of the Portland locals recommended this IPA - and for good reason. A wonderful beer.

This IPA came enthusiastically recommended by several strangers I met when visiting Portland. I never made room for it in my draught lineup, but was sure to pack a 12 ounce bottle for the trip home. I'm glad I did. Pours murky brownish-orange with small, fading head. The aroma, featuring a strong, roasty malt base topped with foresty hopping, is one of the best beer smells I've encountered. The hoppy flavor nearly knocked my socks off, in the best possible way. But, again, there is a strong malt flavor demanding respect. The malt also provides enough sweetness to keep the bitterness from overwhelming the palate. Medium-bodied and a coating, viscous mouthfeel. Don't miss this one...

Okay, I’ve had countless pints of this locally. I know I’ve rated this before, I guess I forgot to transfer my review from that lame-ass site before I got banned yet again without reason. Bottled version, and yet another awesome reason to live in the PNW. I’m pumped that they now have it in bottles; I hope I can find it up in Seattle in a few weeks. This is my go-to beer when I find it on tap. Anyway, on with the rating... So, pours a brownish orange with a decent head that leaves some decent lacing. Aroma is...wow. You’d think you were about to take a sip of grapefruit juice. Pure floral hops with only a hint of malt. Flavor is very well balanced. Nice malt sweetness does a nice job of keeping this from being too bitter Nice floral hops, spices...damn, it’s been too long. I’m in such heaven right now that I can’t even pick out the flavors; please forgive me. It’s not nearly as citric, though, as the aroma, which is a good thing. Palate is very thick and crisp. Overall, this is about as solid of an IPA as you will ever find and *definately* worth seeking out. I hope my local store gets more in soon.
