Der Frühling ist da (spring is here)– Germans know what a wheat beer should taste like. So, we based our Hefe (Yeast) Weizen (Wheat) beer on their great example. The refreshing nature of this crisp beer is just like the line in the song from the Sound of Music– a drop of golden sun. Now add in some banana notes and a bit of clove in the finish and you have vollkommenheit!

A cloudy yellow appearance with a moderate white head. The aroma contained lemons, bananas, bubblegum, and cloves. The flavor contained some bready notes along with citrus and bubblegum. Hefes usually arent my thing but this one was damn good. Overall I recommend this one for summer drinking.

On tap @ Terminal BrewHouse in the shadow of the Chattanooga Choo-Choo - after walking from the Read House! Pours a cloudy yellow with a medium head and some lacing. Good carbonation. Big bananas in the aromas with a sweet wet wheat, slight clove and spices and more banana. Taste is zesty, sweet fruity with again big banana in the yeastiness with a sweet wheat and some spices. A bit big on the banana esters but I loved it - very refreshing.
