Staying true to original porter brewing techniques,we blend fresh brewed beer with an oak-barrel aged ale to create our Stock Porter.Dark and complex, yet eminently drinkable, this beer is a tantalizing combination of coffee and chocolate aromas married to delicate fruit notes, revealing hints of the California zinfandel that once filled our barrels.

a nice porter i'd be tempted to buy more of if it were 4 or 6-packs and not 750s only. bottle conditioned, for a smooth velvety texture. a little thin, but smooth and flavorful. chocolate, roasted coffee and malt, and a touch of dark fruit. nice aroma (more roast) and flavor (more chocolate) with an ever so slightly tart/bittersweet finish...this one is nice, if a little overpriced for a porter.

On tap at Hamiltons. Pours with a dark brown to black body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It has a touch of roasted coffee that compliments the slightly sweet maltiness. Medium to full bodied and smooth.
