This is an all malt, well lagered, smooth cottage patio lager for swigging on hot humid days...something with malty flavor approximating the Dortmunder style according to the brewer. The intent was to create his favorite cottage home brew but IMHO he has a great Dortmunder here. Pours a clear gold with a decent frothy cap..light lacing.....aroma is sweet malts and some light fruits like a sweet cider. Substantial malt backbone, thick sticky mouthfeel...big dose of sweet Breiss bonlander Munich malt up front with just a little hopping to balance and light sour fruit notes from the lager yeast....finish is wet fruity and has a long biscuity sweet after taste. I don’t mind this beer at all.....then again I love malty beers and the sweetness does not phase me like it may others.
