Purchased with GAll&Gall Amsterdam-Noord. Hazy golden yellow with nice lasting white foam head. Aroma is citrus, taste is refreshing citrus weizen beer. Small aftertaste. (Velp 201206)

Bottle, kindly shared by abemorsten. ABV is 7%. Golden colour, not as pale and milky as other witbiers, big to moderate white head. Nice aroma and flavour of coriander, cloves and orange peel. Very drinkable, despite its higher ABV.

On tap at the brewery in Amsterdam. A dirty, cloudy gold - dark for a Wit - with a thin white head. Familiar yeasty 't Ij nose but with the aroma and flavors appropriate for the style: citrusy-spiciness, lemon & coriander. Faint aroma but bold, robust taste. Crisp mouthfeel with a distinct assertive bitterness in the finish. I liked this one alot; perfect for this warm spring day.

Im liking this lemony peach essence tickling my sinuses. Mouthfeel is quite bubbly and effervescent but still good its not abrasive.......Color is a golden yellow with a lasting creamy foam head. A flowery pale wheat taste, mellow spice and a light sparkling citric aftertaste...... A fun beer to try. Suds had this on tap, lucky him!

hazy golden with bif firm foam. Sweet perfumy aroma of oranges, peaches, lavendel and sweat. Sweet and quite heavy flavour of over-riped red apples with some dryish undertones of cinnamon and biscuit. Finishes quite sweet of bisvuit and oranges with touches of dryish grassy hops. Not a witbier in my book.

Hazy nutbrownish orange colour with a huge white creamy head, leaves good lace. Strong citrusfruit and wheat in nose. Slight alcoholic sweetness as well as sugary notes there too. Flavour is wheat, yeast, barley, malts and fruit. Sweet perfumic flavour in finish. Aftertaste is caramel, yeast, and some bittering hops. Totally crazy witbier, in a good way! Palate would be excellent, but gets slightly ruined by a quite sharp carbonation.

Pours a cloudy gold with a large sandy white head. The aroma is oranges, tobacco, and phenolic clove with the flavor being dry wheat malt and slightly tart. The tobacco funk is a bit unusual for the style.

An odd take on the wit style, although this brewer does its own thing across the board. Pour was cloudy golden yellow-orange with a small head that remained thin and only yielded minor lacing. The aroma was wheaty and of light spicing, as well as honey. The flavor featured no floral aspects, underplayed coriander/spicing, and some typical orange flavors. The honey was definitely detectable in the flavor before it warmed and the citrus/orange notes took over with temperature - along with some pretty wheaty flavors. Mouthfeel was light bodied and watery, although this managed to finish with a little sweet/stickiness. Odd, not a classic best, not worth the price, but an interesting experience.

Had fresh on tap at the tiny brewpub in Amsterdam: WOW! this is a heavy witbier! Darker, more alco, and fuller in the mouth than any other witbier i've ever seen. even the dutch guys with me said this wasn't a wit, but it is . and a damn fine wit..not as traditional but its fun and inspiring to see a brewery push the limits. this was flowery and delicous and hazy and pronouced. me likey!
