We have dedicated this beer to the annual domestic violence and family quarrels, which belongs as much to the Christmas season as dancing on the burning wood. This strong Belgian ale has a brownish color with reddish tinge and a small but creamy skumhat. The body is plump and sweet. Flavor is dominated by dried plums and apples, herbs, bergamot, cherry, honey cake, chocolate, toffee and caramel, while the finish consists of discrete grating tones and a gentle and balancing hop bitterness

At Copenhagen Beer Festival. After reading the commercial description, my expectations were high, but the beer did not quite live up to them. Reddish brown colur, but paler than expected. Moderate malty aroma, some caramel. Did not get much of the promised complexity. The flavour has some malts and caramel, a little fruit, a little spiciness - but too little of everything. Drinkable of course, but I want something better than this for the Yuletide.
