The beer poured a dark translucent red colour with a creamy tan head that was about a half inch thick. It stuck around. The aroma was grapefruity hops, caramel, weak spice, and grass. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour was a nice balance of caramel sweetness and grapefruity bitterness. The rye came through a bit in the aroma but was no where to be noticed in the flavour. Still, a solid beer.
