Existent represents the philosophy behind Stillwater Artisanal. We strive to define ourselves through our passion and sincerity while accepting that not all aspects of life are readily explainable. To manifest this ideology we present an ale of intrigue. Deep & dark though deceptively dry, braced by a firm yet smooth bitterness with an earthy hop and mild roast aroma.

April 2014: 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.4%. Dark mahogany colour, moderate off-white head. Very malty aroma and flavour, medium sweet, some acidity, notes of caramel, minimal hops.

A rich mahogany colored beer with a big sudsy light tan head rising above. There's excellent hang time on the head. It settles a thick film rising from a moderate ringlet. The nose is light but introduces the fruity, light earthy hoppiness of this beer. Light and pleasant.

A true farmhouse ale. Wish I could have had a little more of this to get a true sample, but we were tasting a lot of different stuff during a recent camping/musicfest. Dark brown appearance with some redish tint. Thicker feel. Earthy/grassy flavors, yet some malt behind it, and decently hopped ending. Balanced well....something I would look for in the future for sharing.

Had this once before, apparently never got the score down. Dark translucent brown. Nice herbal malty aroma. Dry roasted finish with a little dark fruit, spice, malt and earthy hops. Lightish in body, but quite complex. Nice brew.

Gift from my brother-in-law from recent trip to Charleston and Charleston Beer Exchange: Woodsy brown pour with a tight sustained cream-colored head and thick thinks of lacing. Rich aromas of ripe fruits - mangoes, peaches - nut and almonds, slight vanilla, sweet malts. Taste is also rich with the ripe fruits and maltiness upfront, a very light vinegar-like bitter, baked peaches. Extremely different nose on this beer - very unusual but nice. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Wow. Such a pricey bier but for a good cause. It's been a while since I've treated myself to such malty goodness. Cloudy, brown and not syrupy, but noticeably almonds and caramel. round, mellow and delightful.
