Vom Fass, poured in the brewery tap room a deep gold to pale amber colored beer with a medium sized white creamy foamy head that had a good retention. Nice lacing. No carbonation. The aroma is grainy malts, notes of caramel. The flavour is a solid malty sensation, notes of honey and a slight smoked smell, superb hoppy effect. The palate is very smooth. The finish of this medium bodied beer is a long hopping feeling. Very, very nice.

Fränken Bierausflug, Day#3, Brewery#14, Beer#28. Vom Faß at the Stadter Gasthof. Poured a clear copper color with a dense tan head leaving great lacing. Light caramel malt and bready aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly buttery with honey-creamy malt flavors. Bready, rich but smooth. Very light hop bitterness initially, but increases in the finish although the body thins.
