Premium Pêche is a beer made from traditional Gueuze Lambic, to which 25 per cent of fresh peach juice and natural sugar is added. A clear, amber colorful beer is obtained with a yellow head. With an alcohol content of only 2.6 per cent and its fruity character, this is a beer which is a tempting tipple, when drunk young or old. The elegantly-shaped glass reinforces the image and symbolizes the natural charm of this full-bodied Pêche (a peach beer).

250 ml bottle, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 2.6%. Clear amber colour, small white head. Perfumed aroma of peaches, artificial peach candy, grass and mild spices. VERY sweet flavour (why all these sweeteners?) with the same elements as the aroma. Not good. Won't buy again.

Sampled on 7/4/2009. This fruit lambic pours a medium dark copper color from a 375ml green bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet with lots of peach flavors. A medium bodied Lambic. The malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of fairly sweet peach flavors. There is also a fairly noticeable apple cider flavor as well. Way too sweet, but not quite cloying. The carbonation is not sufficient enough to help balance all this sweetness. There is a touch of tartness at the finish. I just wish there was a little more tartness. Mouthfeel is soft and full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Bottled (from lahoublonniere.be). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is sweet peach along with some wooden notes. Mild burnt sugar as well. Flavour is peach, sweet wood, some sugar and quite resiny. Easy to drink.

As I pour this a floral note of peaches mixes with a lactic tart aroma. A reasonable pour produces an almost two-finger thick, light tan colored head that sits on top of a clear, amber colored beer that shows a brilliantly clear, full copper color when held up to the light. A fuller inspection of the nose yields more lactic sourness, more than I was expecting from this beer. Floral peach notes are here as well, but they actually play less of a role than the tartness; a peach flesh floral note becomes a bit more noticeable as I get used to the tartness. This really is quite floral smelling.

Quite sweet tasting, more than I was expecting given the tart leaning aroma. There is some tartness here, but the sweetness does a good job of drowning it out at first, luckily it is substantial enough that it cant be repressed and it does help to balance the ample sweetness. While this is sweet and fruity tasting, in fact amply so, this does not scream peach; this makes sense as I have found that peach is more floral than being a distinctive flavor in and of itself. This has a fairly viscous body and heft to it. Thicker than your typical soda, but probably at least as sweet as one. There is a prickly carbonation here as well that probably helps to lighten this beer just a touch.

Not really beer, even the noticed tartness doesn't make this seem any more like a Lambic. Purchased: Plaza Liquors, Tucson AZ

If you are thinking this beer is a traditional fruit lambic, you'll be very disappointed. If you go into it thinking of some kind of fruit flavored LPR, then you'll get the idea. An aroma of fresh peaches, dirt and simple syrup. Appearance is a hazy orangeish/yellow with a champagne-like head with minimal retention. Mouthfeel is a bit thickish. Flavors are fresh peaches, with a bit of tartness and a lot of carbonation. Kind of reminded me of a sparkling cider, but only with peaches instead of apples.

A clear, amber beer with a yellow head. A wonderful fresh peach aroma with just the right amount of carbonation to give a nice tingle. A great after dinner drink. Great with heavy cheeses and smoked salmon.
