A bit of a miss with this one from Sprecher. Brown pour with a thin watery head. No lace, very little carbonation. Slightly sweet finish with malt presence.

Pours a nice clear chestnut with a peep of gold at the bottom of the glass mug and a very thick, fine-bubbled, creamy pale tan head. Malty aroma has a yeasty overtone, not much else. Flavor, fortunately, is better than what the less-than-inspiring aroma promises, providing notes of roast malt, yeast and caramel plus more than hints of fruit and hops and a bready underpinning. Texture is fairly firm and fizzy. Belly up to one today.

Aroma is caramel, toffee, and nutmeg. Appearance is a murky brown. The flavor is malty with nutmeg and caramel. You know what? This is like a Newcastle clone but I like Newcastle.

The brown ale pours a medium brown color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention and quickly fading lacing. The aroma is nutty and earthy, some caramel and fruitiness. A medium bodied brown ale. The malts are nutty, caramel and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. A decently flavorful brown ale. This beer would be very drinkable as a session ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

thanks to pfoxyjohn for this one. 0Pours a nice clearish-brown with a thin head and some lacing. Little carbonation. Aromas of sweet malts, some nuttiness and slight hops. Taste is creamy smooth with a very slight almond and toasted maltiness and very slight hops finish.

A clear copper-brown with a thin tan head; no lacing. Nose of dark fruit and malt. Medium-bodied, mouthfeel starts full, ends thin. Mild nutty flavors, lightly sweet with a bitter finish.

This one poured a dark amber color with a decent head. It had subtle malts in the aroma with a creamy malt flavorl. Had a slightly dry finish. The appearence resembled a brown ale, but it still had the creaminess of an English Pub Draught.

Sprecher is a brewery that has thoroughly impressed me with all of their beer. I never really knew a whole lot about their beer up until the last couple of years. This ale is very smooth, not as sweet and light as a Newcastle (my favorite brown ale) but very rich in flavor and a nice balance in hops and malts, in my opinion. Colour is a dark brown, with a small tan head. Very filling and pleasent, this was fantastic.

Poured a very nice burnt carmel color and had the smell of toasted malts and a touch of alcohol. Man i need to get more of this stuff. The toasted malts and carmel flavors in this beer. Good good stuff.

Very dark red and brown body. A medium off white yellowish head topped this one. Nice malty aroma with oats and brown sugar. Also some apples. A very drinakable session ale. The taste is a mild borwn sugar with some bready notes. Very little hops in this sweet malty brew. Not bad.
