Luckenbock is brewed in the style of a traditional German bock. Its big maltiness comes from healthy amounts of Munich, Vienna, and caramel malts. European hops are used sparingly; just enough to cut the sweetness while still allowing the malt flavor to shine through. Luckenbock is fermented cold and aged for an extended period in order to achieve the clean, crisp mouthfeel associated with German-style lagers.
