An English style dry porter, the Snake Bite is dark, crisp, smokey and delicious. Die hard porter fans come back for this one. Self proclaimed "non-beer-drinkers" have been woed to the craft side of beer by it too. By popular demand we serve this beer year round.

Comes out of the bottle a barely translucent warm sable brown with a substantial, if not too persistent, fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma is smoky and has components of brown sugar and quality coffee. Lip-smacking flavor has tones of quality coffee, molasses, caramel and semi-sweet chocolate plus a hint of licorice. Texture is smooth, a little thick, and just a little fizzy. Definitely worthy, especially if you favor porters.

easily the best of the 3 we had from there. not quite a standout, but something i would drink again. pours nealry black with a nice roasted malt and coffee/smoke aroma. similar flavor. a touch thin, but has a robust flavor.
