December 2018: Shared 330 ml bottle, ABV 8%. Black colour, small beige head. Nice roasty aroma, notes of chocolate, vanilla, mild coffee and caramel. The flavour is not too sweet, with the same elements as the aroma. Good beer.

Black pour with a small brown head. Leaves no lacing. Mild aroma of roasted malt and dark fruits. Flavour of lightly burnt roasted malt, dark chocolate and hops. Medium to full oily mouthfeel. Not too complex but tasty.

Pours very minimal brownish head that doesn't stick around very long. Has a black appearance with a bit of highlights. Weak lacing. Aromas are dark fruits, raisins and plums as well as resin and spice hops. Alcohol is fairly noticeable. Flavours are dark roasted malts, more dark fruits, plums, earthy and resin hops. Has a slick and oily mouthfeel and leaves a warming sensation on the palate. Pretty good stuff and well balanced.

Single bottle from the LCBO. Pours a real dark brown colour with a mocha head, good retention and small lace. Aromas of roasted malts, dark fruits (plums), vanilla and other sweet malts. Smooth mouthfeel with well-hidden alcohol and no burning at all. The flavours are not as sweet as expected. More on the mild bitter side with the coffee, grassy hops and dark chocolate. Dark fruits are light as well, with some yeast. A nice dryness overall, but missing some character (strength).

The beer pours a solid blackish-brown colour with reddish hues and tan coloured head. The aroma is dark fruit, molasses, and roasted malt. The mouthfeel is full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, coffee, with hints of vanilla and molasses. Quite good.
