There’s no better way to start a lazy afternoon than with a group of friends and a few beers. Nooner IPA is a session beer that’s light in body yet big in hop flavor. By using intense, whole-cone American hops in our Hop Torpedo we pack this small beer with a hefty hop punch. Traditionally, IPAs have been bigger, stronger beers, but this session beer offers the same hop assertiveness with an easy drinkability.

Its "OK" and I get the low ABV so you don't go under too soon - hence "session", but still found it only slightly better than average for an IPA. All requisite IPA qualities, just nothing that stood out. I'll stick with the standard SN Pale Ale.

A bright golden colored beer. There's lots of bubbles rising in the clear body. A frothy textured, white head rises above. There's good hang time on the head. A persistent cap and moderate ringlet are left. I get earthy notes in the nose. More of that balanced by a bready malt. Quite refreshing.

Pours a nice clear golden with a fairly thick off-white head. Hoppy aroma has hay, resin and woody notes plus a fruity hint. Flavor starts with hops and adds notes of fresh hay, citrus and pomme fruit. Texture is rather tingly, if not thick. A good beer for late spring or summer. Have one with lunch.

An ok session IPA. Bitter and tart grapefruit flavor up front, then some sweet citrus and light malt behind. Reminds me a little bit of MH #9 as far as taste and feel. Still probably rather have a SNPA or better yet a Torpedo, but see where they are going with for the lighter spring/summer beers. Not too fond of these new 4-way IPAs though.

Hazy, bright yellow body with a white head and decent lacing.Pine and grassy hops in the nose, but not very floral or pungent, with a hint of biscuit malt.Light bodied with a very dry mouth feel, prickly from the carbonation.Light malt and a drying bitterness start the palate with a wave of pine and grapefruit.Finishes with a lingering dryness and fading hops.Tasty beer but falls short of the hopping levels for even a "session IPA"

Not sure what these dwarf hops are that they used in this brew, but I admit that I expected more. Thin feel is ok if the flavor and aroma are anything but...but while the aroma and flavor were pleasing enough, everything came across as a little weak. Grassy hops and little citrus or anything else besides a light biscuit malt. It is a session beer as described, but hefty hop punch? Not so much. I'll enjoy my other 2 from the mixer and then be done with this. Surprisingly, there are FAR better session IPAs out there.

12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy light golden orange with a big frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is biscuit malt and grassy, almost metallic, hops. Like SN Pale.
The flavor is biscuity malts with pretty good sized grassy bitterness and a touch of fruit. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with sharp carbonation.
Overall, this tastes like what I remember SN Pale tasting like. Would be interesting to do a side by side since I haven't had the Pale in a while.
