Brewed using a blend of English malts. Magnum hops are used for the early hop addition, with Goldings for finishing and dry hopping. A very flavorful and hoppy ale.

A little bit too bitter for my tastes, but perhaps I'm too used to the regular domestics. I'm usually not a fan of IPA's, but I tried this because it was in the fridge and I had never heard of it, and was somewhat disappointed.

Very hoppy ipa, lots of flavor, I had several of these lately over a week and always enjoyed them. Serious flavor... But you definetly noticed the kick. At 6.9 abv it will get your attention. Would recommend

Pours a goldenamber color with a small bright white head which dissipates rather slowly leaving an admirable spider web lacing. The aroma is of malt bread and caramel with piney/earthy hops as well. The taste is herbal and sweet with a bread/biscuit taste. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth. Pretty satisfying.

Excellent offering from Sierra Nevada. As usual, I was not disappointed in it's presentation. Smooth and drinkable with exceptional flavor - great hops!

I didn't care for this as much as the regular Sierra Nevada pale ale. It was a bit on the bitter side, as IPAs should be, but something about the balance between malts and hops didn't work that well for me. Not very smooth going down. The flavor is there for sure....a bit fruity and very hoppy. Basically a decent average IPA, nothing special.

this one falls into the "standard" catergory of Sierra Nevada Beers, the aroma and flavor one expects from a good ipa are lacking, and you can't help but notice a similar hop profile as several other SN beers.

A very drinkable beer and one that I truly enjoyed. The beer poured a nice golden brown colour into the glass with a generous head. The first thing you notice about the aroma is the florally rush of hops, followed in turn by some citrus notes like grapefruit. The flavour is rather complex with a little yeastiness followed by the hoppiness that this beer is known for.

Pours a dark amber/caramel color with thin tan head, little lace. Fresh aroma of hops, tea leaves, mint, and citrus. The mouthfeel is smooth, full-bodied, and rich. Flavor of caramel malts, hops, citrus, tart, and mild spice. Delicious.

This beer is just average. It might be a good one for someone just testing the waters with IPA since its not too hoppy.

I really don't understand the low marks for this beer. I think this is a very good IPA. It was actually the IPA that got me into the style sometime back. This beer is crisp and full of grapfruity flavor - great with a big burger off the grill!
