“I’ve long been enamored with the aromatics and flavor of whole-cone hops, and breeders and growers are in craft’s corner pushing the limits of an ingredient that brings all of us—brewers and drinkers—a lot of excitement,” said Ken Grossman, Sierra Nevada’s founder. “Our Harvest series is a fun glimpse at the future of hops, and it’s something we hope to repeat each year with bold new varieties.”

The other Harvest Series that I had were either fresh or wet hops, but not sure this is that. Maybe I expected a little more, but seems like missing a little flavor because of the single hop. Sort of like a more basic, slightly smoother version of Torpedo. Solid beer, just a little pricey.

Light amber color, tall head, ample lacing. Peachy and mango aroma and initial flavors, nice bitter, slightly spicy, offset and slightly balanced with malt additions. Tasty and easy to drink.

Kind of excited about this one, but I'm not sure if I just don't like this hop or if its something else. I got some floral notes and there's more than ample bitterness, but instead of the berries and pepper promised I got skunk, in the nose and a little in the flavor. Enough to distract. Not a bad beer, but not all that great, either.
