Coffee and craft beer are both drinks that inspire passion in the faithful. As we dreamed up ideas for a winter beer, they seemed destined to come together. There isn’t much that’s more comforting on a cold day than a cup of great coffee, and even more so when blended with the rich flavors of a dark and roasty stout. Our Coffee Stout brings the best of both brews with flavors of baker’s cocoa, dark fruit, and a bittersweet roasted malt body. Pours deep, warm coffee sable with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Can’t beat that with a baseball bat. Roast malt aroma presents an overtone of quality coffee, as well as earthy, smoky, and subtle molasses and dark fruit notes. Flavor echoes all these, and though coffee is still dominant, it gladly shares the tongue’s attention with all the others. Body seems thin for a stout, but fizz is strong and persistent.

Deep dark brown pour with a rich mahogany head. Plenty of creamy brown lace. Black licorice and chocolate aroma. Can't say that I noticed much coffee flavor or aroma. Enjoyable none the less.

This was my favorite of the new winter Snowpack. Jet black appearance with a mocha head. Aroma is of chocolate and coffee. Flavor pretty much the same, but has some decent hops to it. These beers are starting to feel a little mass produced, so the quality may not be as high as some of the premium label or anniversary stouts, but the flavor is there...so I'm good with that.

12 oz bottle, bottled 10/28/14. Pours dark brown with a medium creamy tan head that goes to a thin film and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet lactic chocolate with some acidic burnt roast.
The flavor is sweet lactic chocolate with some burnt roast in the finish. i don't get much coffee. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, lots of lactose and burnt roast, not much coffee.
