The third installation of our small project with Beer Station was precisely planned for the arrival of warmer weather. The Growler Sour Ale is based on our Sorbet series, but with several enhancements. The fruit base consists of piles of raspberries with a portion of lingonberries for added juiciness (and colour). On top of that, we bumped up the gravity of the original beer and added some non-fruit adjuncts. The dried mint used in the whirlpool gives it some fresh breeze that contrasts with the chocolate added on the cold side. Pleasantly tart and refreshing, we believe this might be just what the warm days ask for.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Signal red colour, moderate pink head. Distinct aroma of ripe and over-ripe raspberries, hints of lingonberries and redcurrants. Light bodied. The flavour is not too sweet, nor too sour, but has distinct notes of raspberries, redcurrants, vanilla and lingonberries, hints of chocolate and mint.
