A decent dunkel. A clouded golden-orange pour with a thin tan ring nfor a head. Caramel and plums comprise the aroma with a but of citrus. Roasted maltiness and caramel make up the bulk of the flavour with a bitter finish.

This brew poured a clear reddish amber with a thin white head. Its aroma is a nice blend of spice and toasted malt. The mouthfeel is medium. YThe flavor was pretty well balanced but nothing special.

A soild offering from shiner, i have to say this one of shiners better beers. It isnt daring by any stretch but a well rounded, balanced beer. A little light on flavor, but worth a try.

Ok beer from Shiner. I expect better from an anniversary beer though. It is better than their traditional bock. Not as much taste as I expected. Dissapointed

Pours with a frothy, initially fat one-finger thick (despite a vigorous pour), pale tan colored head that sits a top a brilliantly clear, deeply red, copper colored brew. The aroma is a nice mix of hop and malt, though the hop notes play a touch larger role. Aromatic notes of light citrus, green-herbal notes, a touch of berry notes, some biscuit malt notes, a nice breadiness. I like that this has a nice, chewy, malt driven aroma, but am a bit suprised (though pleasantly so) how hoppy & of what hop character that this brew is.
Quite well carbonated, the beer definitely fizzes up a bit as it hits my tongue. Somewhat dry, even a touch of tartness, though this does have a soft, caramelized malt sweetness. Grassy hop flavors and a solid, yet somewhat soft, hop bitterness is noticeable. The fruity / citrus hop notes of the aroma are mostly lacking in the flavor, but there is just a hint of bergamot towards the finish. Malt defived flavors of biscuits, a berry-like malt sweetness, some dusty soda cracker notes and a touch of grain husk astringency add a bit more to the malt perception.
This is not a bad amber, I don't know that I would characterize it as a traditional Bavarian one, but I like the extra, fresh hop character that is in this brew. It could perhaps use a touch more malt depth, and perhaps a touch cleaner malt profile. -

Not a bad beer, very drinkble and pours with a nice head. I like this beet better than the original Shiner and would probably purchase again. Recommend this beer to anyone who drinks Shiner.

Any respectful beer lover will have to try this one for sure. It is not over hopped and is not too sweet. This could just posibly be Goldie Locks Beer!

Pours a pale golden-amber with perfect clarity and short, but lasting, head. The aroma is refreshing and balanced. Clean, light hops meet an ample malt base in the flavor. Easy to drink, not very complex. Light bodied and moderately carbonated.

Sampled from bottle. Pours clear copper/amber with a thin white head. Its aroma is a blend of spicy hops and toasted malt, but its pretty subtle. Balanced flavor. A bit zesty with some agressive carbonation and hops in the flavor addition. Medium-body. A good beer, but not as sophisticated as one might expect for an anniversarry beer.

Handsome and has an enticing aroma, but the flavor's a little flat. Not bad, mind you--and definitely better than their bock--but this year's limited release is just nowhere near as good as the 97 (which was a schwarzbier).
