poured a pale golden yellow with a thin soft white head that leaves a thin lacing. The aroma has grains, metal, corn, alcohol and not much else. The taste is grainy, apples, metal, corn, sweet, alcohol much like the aroma. The mouthfeel is warm, crisp, lightly bodied. Just another ordinary crappy beer.

another 40! beer #3 (and the best* in the ghetto tasting) * = worst. skunkier, generic pee beer, NO hop presence. Really really rechid instead of just rechid. I must admit, though, the tasting was fun - if a little masochistic :)

Had this in a can - well, it’s what was available. Aroma is weak, wan and malty. It pours a very uninspiring clear pale yellow; at least the white head is fairly thick. Flavor is malty and a little fruity, actually better than I expected but still not much. Then again, I have been spoiled rotten by craft brews. Texture is smooth but hardly fizzy at all - I’ve drunk soymilk that left more of a tingle. I guess you have to drink swill occasionally so you can better appreciate the real stuff.

Easier to find than the Black Bull, and not as good. Take the black if you have a choice. Colour - medium gold. Aroma - malty. Mouthfeel - medium. Flavour - slightly sweet. Overall - just OK

Yeah, I know. I was supposed to open this and "duck" because the bull would come running out. Instead of a bull, I got this nasty hangover from it. I will never drink this swill again, because if I do, I may go insane.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT BEER. IT IS STRONG AND VERY TASTY. EXCELLENT ICE COLD. I DO NOT LIKE THE RED BULL OR THE BLACK ICE. THE APPEARENCE OF THE CAN AND BOTTLE IS VERY APPEALING AND DOMINANT. OVERALL IT IS A VERY FULFILLING BEER. SOMETHING GOOD FOR THE GROWN-UPS.

This is one of those mistakes of youth that I seem to commit every once in a while. This is a decent session brew for a strong beer. It's a clear golden beer with a weak aroma of adjuncts, and the decent taste of a Budweiser with alcool. I'll quaff a couple during a hockey game every now and then.

Man, I was in the grocery store one day with my wife buying a few items and pondering the selection in the beer cooler and she said, "Oh, get this with the blue cow on it". She was just being funny and said it so that other patrons could here her. I bought the beer just to mess with her. She wouldn't drink it. Having consumed vast quantities at times in the days o' my yute, I drank them all. It was just as bad as I had remembered. Pale, yellow and nasty.

The SAB-Millerized version of SML is nothing like the vile concoction this was in the 70's. Basically a cheap slightly higher ABV malt. Pours a pale yellow with a fast rising short lived head. No hop note at all. The flavor is heavy with adjuncts. No too bad for what it is, but there are 5.9 ice beers that are far better.

Had this about with some friends after I visted family after 3 years. Pours a pale, golden yellow, pretty good head for a macro, white and fizzy, but lasted for pretty much the whole drink, no lacing though. Tastes pretty much of malt and corn, no hops to speak of. It is a bit boozy, the alcohol is evident.
