bottled 01-03-2011 .. . Pours a 5 day old banana yellow, light-medium foam .. . I kinda like the refreshing flavour of this, light corn sack and premium hay .. . refreshing with a medium crispness
.. . better than a happy hot dog man! it was a weiner! -

Freshness goes a long way, but this pilsner is still just short of the mark. Average is an apt description in most every respect as it carries with it what one would expect from a pilsner... nothing more... nothing less.

A golden, straw yellow color with a slight haze. A very soapy, fluffy looking bright white head that had ok retention and just average lacing. Several bubbles streaming to the top. The aroma brought forth some spices similar to a "Wit' beer. Smells like coriander with small stabs of lemon. Smells fruitier than most. Maybe some grain along the lines of wheat or wheat bread. Smells fresh and floral. The taste provided the lemon with the spices being held back, so as not to interfere. Small amounts of bitterness. A slight malty character from the grain. Seems pretty well balanced in the taste. Medium to medium/light mouthfeel. Smooth and crisp and very thirst quenching. Refreshing. Not much left on the palate. Mostly dry. This brew would be outstanding during the Summer months while at a cookout. Very easy drinking. Not overly complex. Just a good, solid, enjoyable beer. Worth a try just for the fun of drinking it.

Bottle from theisti. Pour was typical for the style, although not an abundant amount of carbonation on display. The aroma was a classic standard pilsner, honey, grains, semi-sweet malts, light grassy hops. The flavor followed suit with slightly more malt than hop balance. The mouthfeel wasn’t lively enough for a high quality classic pilsner (and again the carbonation a tad low), but this was an enjoyable drinker. Thanks, Tim, for the brew!

Sample at the Bottleworks location while in St. Louis. Pours a slightly hazy, pale yellow color. Short, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves thin lace rings. Bready malt aroma mixed with some light hops. Taste of grassy hops and grain, well balanced. Light yet clean mouthfeel. Good, as expected, but there are better.

This beer pours light golden in color with a thin white head. Lemon and citrus scent. Dry and smooth taste of grains, grass, and spices. Overall decent.

This one had a golden apperance. A grassy lemon aroma. The flavor is rather crisp with some lemons and hay showing up. The aftertaste has a hint of bitterness. Not too bad for a pils.

thick gold in color and a head that never seems to quite leave. taste of lemon is a little much for my likings, and has some pretty good hops, but not a bad summertime brew!

Pours a deep yellow with chill-haze, a nice head that not only lasted the entire beer, it left one of nicest laces I've ever seen with a Pilsner. Smell is almost skunked but not quite: you know, the typical Pils scent. Taste is pretty good, a little stronger than most yet light and crisp enough to be refreshing. Mouthfeel is smooth yet cleansing. Overall this is a nice offering and would certainly be nice in warmer weather. Thanks again to MJR.

From a sixer bottled 30 Nov 04 and tasted 3 weeks later. Set out on the porch overnight and opened at 17 degrees! Cloudy yellow-gold color with a phenomenal head. Not much aroma detected through the towering foam. Great taste; any flaws may have been masked by the super cold temp. Medium body, big malt profile, strong hop bitterness.
