As soul nourishing as a naked midnight swim, Sawdust City’s Skinny Dipping Stout is a full flavoured, velvety smooth, oatmeal stout. Black as oil and crammed to the brim with lusciously decadent flavours of chocolate and roasted malts, this massive ale is a delightfully sinful treat.

The beer pours a solid black colour with absolutely no head - none. Quite disappointing for a Sawdust City beer. The aroma is light coffee notes, roasted malt, and weak herbal hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is similar to the aroma with notes or roasted malt, coffee, and weak hops. For a beer that is only 6 weeks old, from a brewer I enjoy, this beer is a huge disappointment! -

Pours a real dark brown colour, almost black with hardly any highlights. The head is big, frosty mocha, long lasting with some patchy foam lace. Fresh aromas of roasted malts, coffee, caramel, dark fruits, molasses and hints of nuttiness. The balance of roasted malts and light coffee is quite nice in the taste. The mouthfeel is pretty thick with some the coffee notes lingering on the tongue. Very easy to drink, very decent regular stout.

Dark brown colour pour. No head, no lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Flavour is of roasted malt, vanilla, coffee grounds and chocolate. Mouthfeel is on the thin side. Kind of disappointing.

On tap: pours an opaqe dark color 2 finger brown cap. Ridh coffee, cocoa tones over some grassy hops, flavour is rich in coffee-coca notes, clean roasty finish. A boiler plate craft stout and food for the sessioner.
