Brewed to celebrate our 1st annual Oktoberfest, this traditional German style festbier is malt forward with a a nice bready body and a hint of caramel. A gentle noble hop bitterness balances it all out. Prost!

Can from the LCBO. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a soapy off-white head, and some lacing. Pretty sweet smelling at first, but then, calms down showing some toasted cereal grains with some caramel malts and light hops. The taste is much of the same with the hops lingering a bit. This adds a touch of bitterness, but not too much for the style. Lots of the cereal grains all-around. A very nice Marzen.

473ml tallboy from LCBO. Pours a fairly large frothy white head that dissipates to a nice thin coating. Has a clear golden appearance. Lively carbonation. Aromas of barley malts, toasty malts, grainy and a bit earthy. Flavours are mostly malty, bready and sweet notes, some hints of spices. A little bit of a rusty like finish. Also subtle hints of caramel. Medium bodied. Pretty good retention. Slick and drying mouthfeel.
