Fairly substantial English dark ale, a fully rich flavor, with restrained roasty characteristics. Originating in England, it was a precursor to stout. Said to have been favored by porters and other physical laborers.

Highly recommended, and highly enjoyed. Great porter with a robust flavor and big aroma. Chocolate, burnt toast, coffee, toffee, and some mild floral qualitites. Huge tan frothy head on top of an opaque deep brown body. Bitter, sweet, creamy and filling.

By far one of my favorite Porters to date. Was not expecting such fulfillment at all. This beer definitely delivered. It could easily be drunk drank at a room temperature.
