Comes out of the tap a nice orangy amber with a thick, fine-bubbled, pale tan head that hangs around for a bit. Fruity aroma has a malty undertone and hints of honey and hops. Malty flavor has firm fruity and woody notes with hints of caramel, hop bitterness and honey sweetness. Texture has above-average body and a fair amount of fizz, leaving a tingly and woody finish. I have a feeling that pale ale fans will like this ’un.

Golden darker yellow color with small white foam head. Lacing to glass. Aroma is nice bitter hops with malt. Nice bitter tate with some flowery tones. Short dry bitter aftertaste. (Conrad 201210)

has a nice caramel aroma, pours with a nice amber color with a decent head that stays around for a while. Its an easy smooth drink with a clean finish. Nice enjoyable beer. bought as part of a sampler pack. Wish more brewerys did this.

A copper color with a white head. The aroma contains some caramel, citrus, and herbal notes. I just farted so that is really messing up the aroma rating. The flavor is a rather malty with some caramel, biscuit, and toffee going on. Considering the source this is pretty good.

My first foray into the Saranac line and holy cow am I impressed! What's this a grassy aroma? I thought this was a pale ale not a Pils lol. Very piney tasting PA reminds me of more an English style than an Anmercian style.

This is a recent addition to the LCBO, and a pretty good one. It pours a nice golden orange with an off-white head. Biscuity malts and citrusy hops make up the aroma. The flavour is musky, malty, with an abundance of hop flavours

Part of their "Trail Mix" 6-pack... pours an amber/orange color with a medium white head and nice lacing throughout. Balanced hops to malt with the hops in front and the sweet malt upon finish. Smooth, medium bodied with a clean finish. Nice one.

An orange amber pour with a medium white head leaving lazy lacing. Caramel malt aroma upfront with some fruit, apples, then very earthy hops. taste is a touch thin at first but then the sweetness of the malts open up offset by a pronounced bops bitter.

Bottle from LCBO: Pours a lightly hazed amber-gold ale in the glass with a decent 2 finger off-white cap...fair retention--fair lacing...moderate carbonation. Aroma is pleasant: bit of toffee, some biscuit dough, some toast...light wet hay hopiness from Kent goldings. Medium-light body, rounded conditioned character, soft mouth feel Nice dose of malts in the front ...a bit of malt complexity from six malts on the bill...toffee, toasty, bready, sweet biscuit, light roast...hops balance well in the middle....some great musty earthy bittering from Fuggles...light clean finish, bittering builds to a mildly bitter end. An unexpected find from a US micro brewer renown for modest style rendition. At $2.15 a pint this boilerplate micro pale ale is a bargain. but I won't hold my breath waiting for local beer drinkers to appreciate the malt complexity in this beer...a very good melding of English and American styles in this easy drinking and flavorful Pale Ale. Great for sessioning or paiting with fresh shellfish. I'll be buying quantity to lay in for the fall winter season.

Nice... another good brew from the USA in our local LCBO. Comes in a six pack. Pours a clean amber colour with a big creamy off-white head. Good retention and beautiful thick lace. The aroma is nice and hoppy. Some light grains and mildly fruity. Rye bread and biscuit tasting, with the hop still present, but in a milder fashion. Notes of apples and caramel. Overall, just a nice pale ale that is quite refreshing but not too strong.
