Sam Adams Whitewater IPA. A wheat ale brewed with apricots & spices. This hazy brew combines the crisp character of a white ale with the intense pine and citrus flavors of an India Pale Ale. We took the unique combination to a new level with the sublet addition of apricots, which provide a slight sweetness to balance the bitterness of the hops. Cheers!

I picked this ber up from the Kroger in Salem, VA. It was between this and Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale. As I had SNCA before, I went with this - it wasn't bad, just a touch on the sweet side for me. Overall, not bad though.

Off white color, aroma of spices. Medium bodied , hints of an IPA and apricots taste- i think the spices seem to compound the apricots some. Not that good of a beer, but not sam adams worst either.

Pours a nice clear golden with a decent off-white head. Hoppy aroma has some citrus underpinning. Hoppy flavor is resiny, wheaty, and a little bitter; and has grapefruit and subtle apricot notes. Texture has average body and good fizz. Wheat and hops - a pleasing combo.

Hazy orange/gold pour shows off the wheat aspect. Apricot, grapefruit and piney hops are present in aroma but fade away in taste. More sweet malt results in very mild bitterness. An interesting combination of styles but not great.

Cloudy golden pour with thin white head. Nice amount of lace on the glass. Suprisingly there wasn't much to the aroma but the taste was exceptional. I really enjoyed the hops and fruit taste. A real winner from Sam Adams

12oz bottle. Pours a light hazy golden amber with a medium rocky head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet honey malts and some melon with some grassy hops.
The flavor is sweet wheaty malts, and some tropical fruits with a pretty big harsh bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, an pretty good IPA, one of the better beers from Sam Adams. I like the fruits but the flavors don't all really blend well together. -

Got this a couple times in a variety pack. Liked it enough to want to get an individual 12-pack one day, just never got around to it or had the need. A Belgian-IPA hybrid, with a balance that works quite well. Was a a little afraid at first. Probably has more IPA traits, but the white/Belgian characteristics cuts down the bitterness from the citrus...some fruit too but subtle. Flavor, mouthfeel, overall maybe a little under-rated at 7, but not quite good enough for 8's here.

Fairly dry with an abundant hop profile. Stray yellow body, billowing white head and hefty lacing. Peach, apricot, mango and spicy pine overtake the dry crisp wheat. Tasty offering.

"What a refreshing beer! Thing I'll get the case I left at Total Wine. A murky yellow colored beer with a big fluffy textured, white head rising above. There good staying power in this one. Dissapates eventually into a medium sized ringlet and fluffs of film. Floral and gradefruit. In both the nose and on the palate. Medium bodied and creamy. "

It pours a hazy burnt-orange and apricot with a thick and foamy off-white head and copious lacing. An aroma of caramel malts, hops, grapefruit and citrus, pine, apricots, some mango, and spiciness. The mouthfeel is smooth and rather rich. Flavors of caramel/butterscotch malts, hops, grapefruit and citrus, apricot, mango, some bitterness and mild spiciness. It's fair ... smells better than it tastes...
