Dave wanted to create a refreshing summertime beer, something he could enjoy after a round of golf on a hot day. This lager has a bright and fresh strawberry character balanced with toffee and citrus notes.

Pours a slightly hazy amber with a fine-bubbled and rather persistent eggshell head that leaves some generous lacing. Malty aroma has an overtone of tart strawberry that is only a little sweet. Flavor has a malty core, more like an ale than a lager, and a strawberry overtone that is more tart than sweet. I love strawberries! Smooth texture is not very fizzy, but still feels like a beer. Another longshot that’s a winner.

Even with low expectations going in, this just isn't a great beer. Gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma reminds me of Cap'n Crunch Berries cereal. Artificial strawberry flavor. Sweetness keeps the beer from being very refreshing too.

Not a huge strawberry in beer fan, but they did this one a solid. Aroma and flavor are light, but full of jammy strawberry and just a touch floral. Not my cup of tea, but done very well.

Not a big fan of berry beers.....not a big fan of strawberry in general...so you can see where this is going. This entire Long Shot series (minus the IPA) was a letdown. Actually liked this slightly better than the hibiscus beer flower, mainly cause of the lager backbone was more enjoyable than a flower-wheat ale. Might be better than Abita's strawberry though.

Aroma of strawberry Fanta, yep the soda, nice but a bit artificial. Kinda hard to rate i like it but its gotta be fake. golden body with a mid sized cap that fades a bit, and leaves some decent lace. Flavor has the strawberry component, but some toffe malts show a bit. Overall its different, not bad, not great eithier, to each his own i guess.
