Pours clear amber with a respectable eggshell head. Aroma presents firm resiny hops and citrus character with a little fresh malt. Flavor delivers lively hops, zesty citrus and malt for a truly enjoyable IPA. Mouthfeel offers so-so body but good fizz. Hop to it.

One of my favorites from this Lat 48 deconstructed mixpack. I may even prefer these single malt versions more than the 5-hop blend....smoother feel at least. Sometimes simple flavor is better...in this case it could be. This hop selection gives a good balance of tropical notes and bitterness, some slight nutiness. I wasn't a huge fan of the Lat 48, but now I can appreciate it more.

Best of the lot: clear amber pour, tight sustained cream-colored head, good lacing. Earthy and Noble hopped aroma, like a hoppy Altbier, nice malt presence. Taste is earthy bitter, slightly sweet malts, touch of citrus zest, very slightly spicy. Well done. My favorite of the Deconstructed IPAs.

More citrus and spice than the others, yet still very well-balanced. Bitter finish is a nice contrast to the initial spiciness. Floral and earthy. Lightly sweet.

First of the deconstructed series, Hallertau features a citrus and earth tinged flavor and aroma. Amber body with a thin, and soapy head. A nice malt back, and the finish is crisp with a piney aftertaste.

Sampled on 5/14/2011. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with nice lacing and decent retention. The aroma is citrusy and earthy, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are caramel and sweet. The hops are citrusy and earthy. Good carbonation. Medium bitter IPA. The citrusy notes works well here. A very pleasant session IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
