Brewed with our unique strain of Belgian yeast that imparts a floral and spicy clove character that comes through in the aroma, flavor, and finish of the beer. The blend of malts, including Gambrinus Honey Malt, give the beer a subtle toffee and caramel sweetness. The Hallertau Mittelfrueh Noble hops add a subtle floral character while the American Ahtanum hops have a citrusy character. What makes this beer stand out is its sessionability. At 4.4% ABV this brew is light and crisp but still flavorful and satisfying.

Taps clearish golden with a nice eggshell head. Aroma delivers fruity, spicy and fresh malt notes. Flavor features hay, fruity, yeasty and fresh malt tones, quite enjoyable. Body is average, while fizz is good and finish has hay and fruity tones. Enjoy this Belgian session.

12oz bottle -
Aroma - light fruity notes, cereal, surprisingly spicy
Appearance - clear golden body, 3-finger white head, nice retention, average lacing.
Mouthfeel - light-medium bodied, medium carbonation
Flavor - centers around a crakery/bready base, light fruit notes and mild, very mild spice notes...a bit flabby maybe
Overall - an easy drinker, perhaps a little over attenuated. A bit more sweetness could have filled this out a bit better, but overall not bad. -

Purchased in the States, part of their 2013 Beers of Summer variety pack. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a warm cap, average retention and lacing. A little creaminess coats the top. There is a strong plastic smell. Not sure if this is normal for this one ? Other than that, aromas of Belgian Ale yeast, some fruit notes. Thankfully, the strong turpentine nose does not taste. It is more like rye with the hints of fruits in the back. Really not sure about this strong plasticy thing. I do not read it in any other reviews. Well, if this is my last review, you will know why.

Sampled from bottle. Pours gold-copper with creamy white head and lace. Floral-citrus aroma. Balanced with hints of bready caramel malt. Dominant hop and phenolic/estery yeast. Solid session beer. Why drink a pale lager for a session beer when this is available?

A dark golden color with a white head. The aroma contains some lemons, bananas, caramel, bread, and spices. The flavor is a bit dry with bananas, lemons, spices, and caramel. Some sweetness shows up in the finish. Overall nothing special but pretty good.

I poured this beer into a pint glass, it has a gold color body with a fizzy head that quickly disappears to a thin lace. The smell is sweet and spicy at the same time. The taste has a nice spice taste up front, then it has some hops coming through on the finish. The mouth feel is nice, good carbonation. Overall is a average beer but a good summer drinker.

Both times I sampled this, and even before when reading the bottle...I thought I was drinking "Belgian Saison". Actually reminded me of that style with the floral notes, light hop, etc. Grassy, earthy feel. One of the better ones in the summer variety pack. What I was expecting the Kolsch to be, so am glad to have a "hit" here versus "miss". Almost like a Belgian IPA, but not quite as hoppy.

Sampled on 6/7/2012. This Belgian Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, bready and sweet, with some yeast. A medium bodied Belgian Ale. The malts are fruit, bready and sweet, with a touch of peaches and apricots. The hops are earthy and floral. Decent carbonation. Some citrus and spice, with some bready malts. Very drinkable. Nice session beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
