Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8
750 ml capped bottle. Poured in a beermug an unfiltered, gushing and almost opaque mid-brown coloured BSA with a one finger creamy and beige foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is powerful toasted malts, caramel and candy sugar, sourish notes. The flavour is toasted malts, caramel, fruity, grainy apples, cherries, plums, mandarins and spicy, oranges peels. The mouthfeel is fulled, light crispy, sourish and sweety. The texture is oily. This full bodied BSA has a long sourish and fruity finish. I like the sourish-sweet combination. To get one bottle from a small batch of the tiny brewery Saint Loupoise is rare and this Noël is the brewer's gift. Thanks Ludovic !
