Art Car IPA is an American IPA featuring a blend of both new and old hop varieties from the Pacific Northwest. The nose is a blend of apricot and tropical fruit and mango. The taste starts with a big bitter blood orange that morphs into mangos and sweet tropical fruits. There is a lightly sweet malt body that allows the hops to shine while maintaining a nice complexity to the flavors.

6-pack purchased in Austin, Texas. Slightly hazy amber colour with a some golden highlights. The frothy light-beige head goes down slowly leaving some thick foam all-around. Hoppy aromas giving some grassy, grapefruit and pine notes. Hints of pineapples and other tropical ones. Malty taste with the hops creating some bitterness in the finish, but still not super dry. Some decent citrus fruits in here. A nice blend of these two schools of hops.

This has some strength...but lacking a bit on both malt and hops. Balanced a little towards the sweet end, but wouldn’t really say it’s that off balanced. Just seems a little weaker in flavor and feel. But, it’s 7% and change. There are some mild citrus notes. Somewhere in between West and East Coast in style....which would put you roughly in Texas.
