When I see the description Pils i usually expect a bland fizz or something exceptional. In this case very much the later.A golden colour with a smooth malty taste.Very drinkable leaving a smooth malty aftertaste. If you are looking for a great beer from a great brewing country this should be on your list. Forget the overpriced trendies and hunt this one out.You wont be dissapinted.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.1%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, moderate to small white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts and newmown grass, also floral hops. The flavour has a slight malt sweetness, with a fairly sharp and slightly metallic and peppery bitterness in the finish.

pours a straw color golden yellow with small white head that hangs around for a bit. The aroma is toasted pils malt, honey, pepperey and floral hops. The taste is toasted malt with peppery honey notes as a finish. The mouthfeel is light bodied with amble carbonation.

Light yellow with white foam head. Typical German beer aroma and nice fresh hop taste. Bitter aftertaste. Perfect beer while camping, but not a crafts beer.(Basel 201207)

Bottle. Poured a clear straw yellow to pale gold colored Pils with a good one finger white creamy foamy head thad had a long retention. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is floral and spicy hops, straw. The flavour is herbal hops, aciditic fruits, apples, grapefruit, citrus, grainy malts, hay. A superb balance sweet maltiness / bitterness. The palate is very smooth. This light to medium bodied Pils has a nice and lingering bitter finish. Enjoyable and very drinkable.

Damn this was a great beer! Big thanks to Craig for bringing this to our monthly beer tasting. Aroma was malty sweet and grassy. Appearance was a beautiful golden color. Mouthfeel was crisp and yet soft. Flavor was out of this world with a honey sweetness combined with a hoppy bite balanced incredibly well with wonderful malt. This is one of the BEST pilsners I think I've ever had. If I ever see it again, it's mine.

Bottle. Pale gold Pils coloured, with white, regenerating white head. Hoppy aroma, some grass, some malt. Nice dry and drinkable bitter taste. One of the best Pils I've tried so far.

Yes indeed, Tannen Zäpfle, which translates as conifir cone-is one very good Pils. Full bodied, maltz, with a strong hop finish, this is a great Pils! The brewery is State owned-now there is a great idea for raising revenues! The bier of choice amongst university students, the local "good time party bier"!
