Just had to try this one on Mother's Day. Wheaty aroma has a strong yeasty overtone - it smells very much like a packet of brewer's yeast. (No surprise there, eh?) Pours a clear solar yellow with a typical white head. Flavor is wheaty with just a whisper of lemon and a whisper of grass. Smooth texture has average body and just a little fizz. I've had better, but this is palatable. Happy Mother's Day!

agreed more an american wheat than a hefe. no bubbllegum, clove, etc...citrusy, coriander and minimal ginger. not bad, not anything to go out of your way for either.

More of an American Wheat than a Hefeweizen: pours a pale straw yellow with a big fluffy white head and a generous amount of lacing. Medium carbonation. Aromas of wet straw, some coriander, some lemongrass, very little ginger. Taste is a tad thin with the wheat up front, with some lemon and orange, spiced with the coriander and ginger which is a bit more prevalent in the flavor. Little to no German hefe qualities to this one - still satisfying, yet yearning for more traditional qualities for my hefeweizens.

Beer looks like a hefe, hazy dull gold with a thick white skiff but there were no chunks at the bottom of the bottle that’s no good. Aroma is weak and has no trace of banana but there is ginger, lime, and some spice. Smells awesome but what is this?!? This taste good but nothing really like a hefe, ginger more lime, spice, mild amounts of wheaty malt. Good beer I could drink this on a regular bases and it’s an interesting twist on an old style but it’s so different can you still call it a hefe?

Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is a bit spicy and grassy. Taste is similarly spicy; the coriander is there but not overpowering. Very refreshing and highly drinkable.

Pours with a three-finger thick, pale, off-white colored head. The beer is a hazy, gold color that shows more of the same, just lighter, when held up to the light. The aroma is quite spicy with notes of fresh ginger, lemon zest and some earthy coriander. The grain character, while secondary, produces aromas of sweet wheat, some grassy grain notes and perhaps a touch of cracker like malt. The aroma is more spicy than anything and is pretty clean otherwise.
Lightly tart up front, with just a touch of honey like grain sweetness that is noticeable for a flash in the middle. Flavors of ginger are the most prominent note noticeable, followed by a tart, lemon note from the coriander. The coriander also contributes a touch of herbal, slightly earthy character that lingers a bit in the finish acting not unlike a hop bitterness. This has some body to it that contributes to the ginger and coriander notes sticking to the palate a bit.
Simple in its spice character, refreshing on a hot day, but not all that interesting. Something a bit more characterful than the Pacman yeast would go a long way to making this a bit more interesting.

Mom’s on the bottle, and everyone knows Mom knows best. Right? A hazy golden straw beer. There’s a frothy white head on pour. But it doesn’t have much hang time, settling all too quickly into spotty, soapy lacing. There’s spice in the aroma. And there’s spice, a lot of coriander in the taste that overpowers everything else. Despite this or because of it, the mouthfeel is full and dry.. A decent venture into hefeweizens, but not one to write home about.
