This was a weird one. Pours a slightly hazy light copper color with no head despite an aggressive pour. Sweet boozy dark fruit aroma, with dates, raisins, prunes and apricots. The dark fruit dominates the flavor with a large dose of malt thrown in. Again, very sweet and boozy, with a little burn on the way down. Almost has some characteristics of a barleywine, due to the strong malt presence and with the abv @ 15%. Mouthfeel is heavy and syrupy. Certainly conflicted on this beer because my palate tells me that there is no way that this is an Imperial Pilsener, which I have tasted on several occasions. Pretty hard to rate this one based on how this beer is categorized. This beer is pretty unrefined, but as Dave Chappelle says in his Samuel Jackson beer skit, "It'll get you drunk." Amen.
